Witchcraft pharmakeia - sorcery, practice of dealing with evil spirits, magical incantations and casting spells and charms upon one by means of drugs and potions of various kinds. Galatians 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Witchcraft is another "work of the flesh" mentioned in Galatians. Enchantments were used to inflict evil, pains, hatred, suffering, and death or to bring health, love and prosperity also. This practiced is forbidden by scripture. God wants us to trust solely in Him and not in other substitutes. I truly believe the biggest reason for this is that God knows who is behind witchcraft and trusting in anything or anyone but God brings to us misery and evil. God doesn't command us to love Him first for any reason, it is for our own salvation and peace. Revelation 9:21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts. Witchcraft and sorcery is a practice that is revived in the latter days before the return of Jesus Christ. I've already run into these things on the Internet. The bible warns clearly against these practices. Those that bear the full judgment of God are those that have hardened their hearts to the point that they do not wish to repent. Repentance is what brings about change. It is so powerful that it can bring life instead of death. Yet those talked of here have passed the point of repentance and have refused correction. I have run into these types in these latter days. They defy God to tell them what is right or wrong and even deny his existence. Revelation 18:23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. Sorcery is a practice of latter day Babylon and is used to deceive and teach false religion and fornication. A common mixture in the last days will be religion and sexual immorality. The bible instructs us to come out from among these things and be separate. Through Jesus Christ we can live a life of holiness and walk in the Spirit and the newness of life. God has something much better for those that follow him. Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. We see here that those that practice witchcraft will have their part in the fire and brimstone in hell, which is considered as the final death after the death of the body. Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. Without here in Revelation 22:15 means outside of God's dwelling place, outside of his presence and outside of His everlasting kingdom. We should desire no part of these things because the bible makes it clear that those that do these things will not be allowed into the kingdom of heaven. Now is the time to escape, now is the day of repentance through faith in Jesus Christ. He will remove these sins out of our lives and we can be eternally free. All we have to do is repent and allow His Holy Spirit to enter our lives. We do not have to be partakers of evil. Jesus Christ makes us free from these things. Luke 12 29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful
mind. If we trust in Him completely, He has all we need and we do not need the things of the world and evil. It may look good at times with our natural eyes but in the end, it is not worth it.
