(Psa 11:1)
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?David fled from the presence of Saul and was being persecuted. This psalm describes his sufferings but also is a help to those who suffer for righteousness.
(Psa 11:2)
For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart. This is probably how so many feel when they are surrounded by those who persecute them. There are different circumstances that may also bring on this feeling of abandonment.
I thank God constantly for the freedom of religion that the those in the United States enjoy. In many parts of the world even as I write this article, thousands, maybe even millions suffer persecution because of their faith. What we take for granted here in a country where almost everyone complains and demands equal rights, there are places in the world where people do not have the right to disagree on the subject of religion. There are places where a man, woman or child would be killed if they converted to Jesus Christ. Jesus warned that it would be this way.
2Ti 3:12
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.Jesus offers hope for those who are persecuted.
Mat 5:10
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. We see that there is a reward awaiting those that suffer persecution for the gospel's sake.
In some places thousand are driven from their homes, their property taken, they suffer prison, torture and death, not because they commit any crime against another human being but because they just simply believe in Jesus Christ and share the gospel with others who believe.
The ones who do the persecuting may often be deceived into thinking he or she is doing God a service. They may even think that God is on their side cheering them on. Ah listen, they which do these things do not know God. Whether it be a Christian religion, Muslim, Jew or any other religion, they do not know God if they persecute those who believe in Jesus Christ and and kill those who are trying to spread the gospel to the whole world.
They have to spread the gospel. If they do not, millions will die in their sin and enter eternity in hell without God. Sin will take us to hell. If we fail to let Jesus take that sin out of our lives, we will die and go to hell. This is the whole reason Jesus came, to save us from our sins.
Mat 1:20
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.(Psa 11:3)
If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?The foundations are being destroyed even in my own country. The ACLU continues to try to destroy Christian heritage and righteous foundations. They come against anything that is good, holy and is found in the bible. Those that work for them do not know God and are enemies of righteousness. They labor for the right of evil to prevail but fight against anything that represents the gospel of Jesus Christ. One example of this is that they represent those that want the right to spread the evil of pornography. They fight for things that ruin the minds of innocent children and yet labor to remove an innocent cross from a county seal.
Remember that Satan does not want mankind to believe the gospel and escape the wrath of eternal hell. He does not want us to receive eternal life and be free from sin.
(Psa 11:4)
The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.We tend to forget that God sees all these things and the day will come when every man, woman and child will face the judgment of God.
(Psa 11:5)
The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.God hates the sin that is destroying us. He hates the results and sufferings that come from sin. He knows that all sin has to be destroyed and if we choose to remain in sin and refuse His way of escape, we will be lost forever.
Joh 8:24
I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.If we do not believe that Jesus is the Christ sent from God to take away our sins, then we shall remain in our sins and die that way. If we believe and accept God's gift of salvation, Jesus Christ, we shall be saved from sin and inherit eternal life.
(Psa 11:6)
Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.The wicked are those who try to prevent people from learning the truth that will set them free. They even persecute and kill the ones that spread the gospel. These wicked will come to judgment.
(Psa 11:7)
For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.God knows those that believe and trust in Him
Psa 4:3
But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him. What a wonderful thought that the Lord has set apart the godly person and his eyes see what we suffer for His name's sake. It is no longer only a certain group of people whether it be a church, a nation, a race etc but the ones who live godly in Christ Jesus who is set apart for God's favor. Search the scriptures to see if these things be true.
